Shirley Morton

Shirley Morton died September 6, 2010, at Collinsville, Illinois. She was born May 4, 1944 to Doyle and Martha Jane (Glasgow) Holifield. Preceding her in death was her father. Survivors include her son and wife, Ricky and Julie Morton of Belleville, Illinois, daughter, Elizabeth Bruns and significant other, Scott Corey of Edwardsville, Illinois, four grandchildren, Samantha and Andrew Morton, and Matthew and Victoria Bruns, her mother, Martha Jane Holifield of Rector, two brothers and wives, Larry and Phyllis Holifield of Little Rock and Danny and Lura Holifield of Rector, two nieces; Amy Manchester of Poplar Bluff and Dr. Alice Holifield of Conway along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, September 10 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Rector with Ardell Polk officiating. Burial will be at the Woodland Heights Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Irby Funeral Home, Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Matthew Bruns, Andrew Morton, Scott Corey, Jack Hamilton, Jimmie Mack Hamilton and Michael Benson.
