Edward Lee Kutait

EDWARD LEE KUTAIT, 77, of Little Rock passed away Sept. 11, 2010. He was born June 7, 1933 in Fort Smith, Ark., to the late Camil and Sophia Rahal Kutait. His brother, Ralph Kutait also precedes him in death. Edward Lee proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and owned Leird Church Manufacturing Company. He will be remembered for his love of gardening, his enjoyment of the equestrian sports, people and life but most of all his love for his family. Survivors include his loving wife, Phoebe of the home; son, Page Kutait and wife Denise of Malvern, Ark.; son, Ed Kutait Jr. and wife Glenda of Vardaman, Miss.; daughter, Phoebe Wilson and husband Kenny of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; one sister, Nita Fawcett of Fort Smith, Ark.; brothers, Dr. Kemal Kutait and wife Virginia and Jesse Kutait and wife Sandy all of Fort Smith, Ark.; grandchildren, Natalie Kutait, Jack Wilson and Emily Wilson. Memorial prayers (Trisagion) will take place 6 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 14, 2010 at Griffin Leggett Healey Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday Sept. 15, 2010 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1100 Napa Valley, Little Rock, Ark., 501-221-5300 with Rev. Dr. Nicholas Verdaris officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Fort Smith, Ark., at 4 p.m. Wednesday with Father John Maxwell officiating. Paul bearers are: Kemal Kutait Jr., Robin Fawcett, John Dobbins, Kevin Fowler, Jim Williams, Alf Williams. Honorary pall bearers will be his classmates and friends. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Arkansas Children's Hospital renal research or Arkansas Hospice.
