Melba Rae Hardgrave Cook, age 86, of Lamar went to her heavenly home Saturday, September 11, 2010 surrounded by her kids and family at St Edward Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. She was born November 14, 1923 in Ozark, Ark. to Annie Dobbs Gean and Ernest Hardgrave. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Cook, Parents, three brothers, Marvin Hardgrave, Gene Hardgrave, Ewell Hardgrave; one grandson, Steve England and one great-granddaughter Brooke Key. She is survived by son, Gene Cook, daughters, Marietta Laneer and Sharon (Jim) Birkhahn of Lamar, daughters, Becky (Charlie) Climer and Ann (John) Price of Russellville, daughter, Annabelle (Gary) Ethridge of Ozark, and son, Ernest (Jeanenne) Cook of Casa, Ark., 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, one brother, Lonnie Hardgrave, Riverside, Calif., and sister, Faye James, of Clarksville and a host of other relatives and friends. She was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church 47 years. She will always be remembered by her family and friends for her love of music, flowers and wildlife. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Rev Doyle Caldwell and Rev. Vernon Bass officiating. Burial at Lamar Cemetery. Arrangements by Hardwicke Funeral Home, Clarksville, Arkansas.
