Charles Thomas Scherm

Charles Thomas Scherm, 63, died Monday, September 13, 2010. Tommy was born January 17, 1947, in Stuttgart to Herman and Georgia Raab Scherm. He was a graduate of Stuttgart High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville graduating from Arkansas State University at Jonesboro. He was a farmer and avid hunter. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Karen Owens; and niece, Shelly Owens. Survivors are his wife, Fonda Stone Scherm; four sons, Michael Wayne Scherm and wife Anna, Christopher Thomas Scherm and Matthew Stephen Scherm, all of Stuttgart, and Kelly Bernell Scherm of Rodondo Beach, California; two daughters, Ashley Ferrin Ferguson Bowie and husband Brent and Jamie Lea Scherm, all of Jonesboro; two special children in his life, Becky Darby and Carol Camp; two brothers, Bobby Scherm and wife Mary of Roe and Eddie Scherm and wife Ann of Portland; three sisters, Sherry Hoffpauier and husband Joe of Stuttgart, Barbara Smith and husband Larry of Vilonia and Janice Smith and husband Bo of Poplar Grove; two grandchildren, MaryMac Bowie and Kale Scherm; a very special mother-in-law, Mary Stone of Stuttgart; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services, officiated by Monsignor Jack Harris, are 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until service time.
