Betty Jean Fowler Schooler Neville, age 66, of Bryant passed away at Bryant Hospice on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 after a long fight with cancer. Betty was born July 14, 1944 in Shelby, Miss., to the late Audrey Louise Coleman Fowler and Charles Odis Fowler. Betty attended Delta State College where she received a Masters degree in education. She was a retired school teacher of 27 years at Bryant Elementary and was a member of Bryant United Methodist church. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Left to cherish her memory is Betty's husband of 39 years, Jerry G. Neville of Bryant; daughter J. Paige Smith and husband M. Lee Smith of Fayetteville, Ark.; two grandsons, Preston and Dawson Smith; a granddaughter Mary Grace is on the way; a sister Margaret Fowler Boles of Birmingham, Ala. and a brother Charles Fowler of Dallas, Texas. Funeral services will be 12 noon, Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 at Bryant United Methodist Church with Rev. Lynn Kilbourne officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Ark. under the direction of Roller Drummond Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 27, 2010 at the funeral home (501-455-5800). Memorials may be made to Saline Memorial Hospice In-patient unit at 23157 I-30, Bryant, Ark. 72022 or American Cancer Society, 901 N. University, Little Rock, Ark. 72207. The family wishes to extend special thanks to all of the dedicated doctors, nurses and caregivers that helped Betty in her courageous 10 year battle with cancer. Also special thanks to her church family, fellowship of teachers, loving life long friends and neighbors for their love and devotion.
