Larry Andrew Walker

LARRY ANDREW WALKER, 61, of Little Rock, Ark., departed this life on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010. He attended Pine Bluff public schools and was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (Pine Bluff AM&N). He shared his love of people by providing assistance to anyone as a brother, an employee of the state of Arkansas and as a friend. He is preceded in death by his parents - Mr. A. D. Walker and Mrs. Mary Gray Walker and brother, Mr. Robert Lee Walker. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mrs. Jo Walker; children, Stuart Walker and Whitney Walker; two grandchildren; siblings, Ann Jones (Cleveland), of Chicago, Ill., Jackie Walker-Gray (Pat) of Little Rock, Ark., and Jerry Walker, Frederick Walker and Freda Walker Billings of Texarkana, Ark.; a cousin, Mrs. Mae Robin Combs of Detroit and a host of nieces and nephews and numerous close long-time friends. A celebration of Larry's life will be today, Sept. 29, 2010, 11 a.m., at Longley Baptist Church, 9900 Geyer Springs Road, Little Rock, Ark. Viewing was held Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, 3-5 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester St. Little Rock (501) 372-1305.
