Cena Mentoria Tedford McMullan, 91, passed from this life into eternal life March 25, 2011 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas. Cena was born November 18, 1919 in Nashville, Arkansas, to Francis Marion And Willie Verna Hallmark Tedford. She and Elbert were married in 1936 and moved to Central Arkansas. In 1955 they moved to Vicksburg, Mississippi, where Cena worked for F.W.Woolworth until they moved to the Coos Bay, Oregon area in 1963. Cena worked for Sprouse Reitz, becoming manager of The Lemon Tree Fabric Shop. She retired after 12 years of service and moved with Elbert back to their home state of Arkansas, settling in Alexander. She was a born again Christian and member of Village Baptist Church, Bella Vista, Arkansas. Cena was the loving, caring Matriarch of her family, and a prayer warrior. She loved life, her Church family, all children, the elderly, friends and all people less fortunate then she. Everyone who met Cena loved her as well! Cena was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Verna Lorene Erickson; her husband of 68 years, Elbert L. McMullan ;and twin premature sons. She is survived by one brother & sister-in-law, Bill and Ivy Mae Tedford; two daughters & son-in-laws, Freda Jean & Ernest Smith of Bella Vista, Ark., Francie Lee & Harry Abel Jr. of Coos Bay, Oregon; five grandchildren & spouses, Patty & Kenneth Berley, David & Nancy Smith of Rogers, AR; Jackie & Joey Newton of Okmulgee, Okla.; Wendy & Joseph Hatzel of Coos Bay, Ore.; Nikki & Justin Bowes of Dundee, Ore.; eight great-grandchildren & spouses, Stephanie & Brad Calkins of Rogers, Ark.; Michael & Heather Newton of Shreveport, La.; Jonathan & Amber Newton of Glenpool, Okla.; Anna Smith & Warren Smith of Rogers, Ark.; Jaden, Abby and Garen Bowes of Dundee, Ore.; six great-great-grandchildren, Haley Nicole Berley of Rogers, Ark.; Paige and Andrew Newton of Shreveport, La.; Noah, Nathan, and Emmery Newton of Glenpool, Okla.; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends from shore to shore. Cena often said that next to life itself; the greatest gift God ever gave her, were her children and family. She will be missed greatly! In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Baptist Children's Home, Circle of Life Hospice, or Gideon's International. Funeral service will be Friday, April 8th 1 p.m. at Huson Funeral Home, 6400 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock, Arkansas. The Family will receive visitors in the Huson Chapel from 12 noon until 12:55 p.m. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Highway 5, Alexander, Ark.
