BOBBY GENE WILSON, 81, of Little Rock, Ark. passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 after a lengthy illness. He was born March 24, 1930 to Willis Jennings and Ethel Wilson. He was a Methodist. Bobby proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a retired traveling electrician from Union Pacific Railroad. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Billie Jo Purtle Wilson; his two sons, Wayne Wilson (wife Debbie), Mark Wilson (wife Pam); mother-in-law, Ozell Purtle; granddaughters, Heather Wilson; Jennifer Clowers (husband Gary); Shanna Crouch; great-granddaughter, Krista; brother, Eric Wilson; and sister, Martha Nell Franklin. He leaves his family with cherished memories and a lifetime of love. The family would like to express its appreciation to Visiting Nurses Association, especially to Andrew Wilson, the Arkansas Hospice staff and Madison Health and Rehab. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, April 11, 2011 at Primrose United Methodist Church, 3006 West Dixon Road, Little Rock, Ark. Burial will follow at Primrose Cemetery. Family will receive friends 12:30 p.m., prior to service at the church. Memorials may be made to Primrose United Methodist Church, Arkansas Alzheimer's Association or Arkansas Hospice.
