John David Allen

John David Allen, 40, of Bauxite passed away on April 6, 2011. John David was born on June 17, 1970 to David and Darlene Allen in Little Rock, Ark. He retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service to our country and wore his uniform with great pride. It was his honor to serve in the Gulf and two tours in the Iraq War; he received several medals and honors during his military service. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart while serving with the 3 ID Fort Stewart, Ga. John David's most treasured memories are times spent with his sons, dad, Lisama and family hunting, fishing and watching the Bauxite football games. John David graduated from Bauxite High School in 1988. He is preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Allen; sister, Dana Allen; grandparents, Mary and John Bratton and Florence and Doyle Allen. Survived by his father, David Allen; two sons, David and Daniel Allen; sister, Melissa McWilliams (Chris); nephews, Skylar and Justyn; nieces, Alison and Bailey, Ms. Terri; special friend, Lisa Bates and many others who all loved him and will miss him dearly. A celebration of John David's life will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 12 p.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant with Pastor Davy McCool officiating. Visitation will be Monday, April 11, 2011 from 6–8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mars Hill cemetery will full military honors.
