LaVERTA PEYTON REDWOOD, 77, of Little Rock was called to rest on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. Preceded in death by her husband Lee Thurman, and leaves to cherish her memory, five children, Donald, Rhonda and Donna of Little Rock, Lee (Charito) of Kansas City, Mo. and Yolanda (Anderson) of Atlanta, Ga.; nine siblings, Shirley Hill, Carolyn Slater, Gloria McAdoo, Lorraine Mosby, Charles and William Peyton of Little Rock, Abram and Joe Peyton of Lonoke, Ark. and Arcola Guess, of Fairfield, Calif.; six grandchildren, Eze, Orin, Aundrey, Taylor, Kyle and Payton. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Lewis St. Church of Christ, 2716 Lewis St., Little Rock, Ark. 72204.
