Ray Jones

Rev. Ray Jones, 79, of Clarendon was born in Hazen, Ark. Oct. 21, 1931 to Oscar and Wincy Jones. Deceased April 7, 2011. Rev. Jones was a Missionary Baptist preacher for 50 years in Arkansas, Alabama, and Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert, Johnny and Sam Jones; three sisters, Eller, Jessie, and Faye and one great-grandson, Michael McCaffery. Ray is survived by his wife of 60 years, Versa Jones; two sons, Danny Jones and Jackie (Beth) Jones; two granddaughters, Christina McCaffery (Jason) and Melissa Stark; four great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 9 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen. Funeral services will be 2:30 Sunday, April 10, 2011 at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Hazen.
