Joyce Anderson

Joyce Anderson went to be with her Redeemer on Sunday morning, April 10, 2011 at the age of 88. She was born to the late Will Allen and Mae Harshman Allen at their home near Winter, Wis. On August 11, 1922. During WWII, she worked at a sewing factory making parachutes. She was a loving mother and devoted housewife with a gentle spirit. She loved to read and was very particular about the quality of books she read. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter and her husband of 30 years, Marvin J. Anderson. She is survived by one son, Leslie Anderson and wife Susan of Little Rock, Ark.; one daughter, Virginia Ann Drake and husband Dick of Searcy, Ark.; two grandchildren, Shaula Mills and husband John of McRae, Ark. and Jay Drake and wife Kim of North Little Rock, Ark.; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Kella Kaisder and Ethel Cass both of Wisconsin. Visitation will be Friday, April 15 from 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Griffin Leggit Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5500 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas. Ph. 501-661-9111.
