Kathleen Blake Childers

Kathleen Blake Childers, 88, of Maumelle, Arkansas went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, April 13, 2011. She was born September 26, 1922 to the late Robert and Doris Blake in Bradford, England. During World War II she served in the British Royal Army. She later was a teacher at the Arkansas Childrens' Colony in Conway, Arkansas. Kathleen loved her family, her two countries and cats. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert O. Childers and a sister, Valerie. Survived by three sons, Robert V., Gary and Michael Childers all of Pulaski County; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Graveside service will be 2 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2011 at Little Rock National Cemetery.
