Michael Shane Henry, 38, of North Little Rock, formally of Lonoke, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011. He was born June 27, 1972 in North Little Rock to Gerald Henry and Sandra K. Strickland. Everyone called him Shane from the very beginning. Shane attended Cabot and Lonoke schools. He graduated from Lonoke in 1990 and then attended Searcy Vo-tech where he received a degree in Electronics. He always loved taking things apart and working on getting them back together. He worked at Remington Arms for ten years before his diabetes forced him to leave. He loved and enjoyed the water and was a great skier at an early age along with his sister Merideth. Shane was a kind gentle person but stood his ground. He developed Juvenile Diabetes at the age of six and was faced with a life long disease that he coped and dealt with the best he could. He was our Hero. Shane was preceded in death by grandparents, Dallas Cordell, Juanita Cordell, Luke Henry and Eva Lois Henry, aunt Caroline Sisson and cousin Dalton Cordell. Shane is survived by his mother Sandra Strickland, father Gerald Henry and wife Judy, sister Merideth Henry and Eddie McMinn, nieces Zoe and Rachael McMinn and his beloved dog Pugsley. Shane also had many cousins and friends through his life that he kept close contact with. Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 22 at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
