Ruth Geraldine Briggs

Ruth Geraldine Briggs, 88, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 19, 2011. She was born August 8, 1922 in Little Rock, the daughter of William Gerald Rankin and Dora Lucille Hill Rankin. She loved her family and her life's joy was Immanuel Baptist Church and her many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delos A. Briggs. Survivors are three daughters, Jerry Pittman (Ellie) of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Patricia Tofte (Harris) of Appleton, Wisconsin and Dorothy Fischer (Tim) of Jupiter, Florida; seven grandchildren, Gene Pittman and Jeff Pittman of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Kristin Miller of Appleton, Wisconsin, Stephanie Watson of Charlotte, North Carolina, Patricia Baker of Houston, Texas, JoEllen Dax of Stilwell, Kansas and Timothy Fischer of Cincinnati, Ohio; eleven great-grandchildren; and special friends, Anna Mary Wilson, Ernie Croach, Donna Crenshaw and Kristen Yates. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11 a. m., Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Immanuel Baptist Church followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. with Reverend Rick Jaggers officiating.
