Susie Kathryn Russell Webb

Susie Kathryn Russell Webb, 96, of North Little Rock passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Susie was born to the late Jess Elwood and Bertha Virginia Cowan Russell in Lamar, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, John Kirk Webb; two sisters, Betty Summers and Mary Alice Blackford; her brother, Jack Walker Russell. She moved to North Little Rock in 1944 and back to Lamar in 1946. In 1947 she moved back to North Little Rock and went to work for Timex Corporation retiring after 33 years. Susie held all officer position, including President of the Machinist and Airspace Workers Local Union 921. She is survived by her son, Willie "Bill" Webb, Jr. and wife, Helen of North Little Rock; her daughter, Judy Kathryn Wheeler and husband, Jim of Sherwood; two grandchildren, John Douglas Peters and Carl Ray Peters and wife, Kim of Hazelwood, Mo.; one sister, Jessie Head of Lamar, Ark.; and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Lamar Cemetery, in Lamar, Ark. with Reverend Joe Dorman officiating.
