R.J. Williams

R. J. Williams, 87, of the Lord's School House Community, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Born May 26, 1923 in Morrilton, Arkansas, a son of Elbert A. and Mae Black Williams. R. J. was a retired Lineman after 38 years with AP&L, a U.S. Army Veteran, Mason, and a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Jean Williams; son, J.D. Williams of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren; step-children, Mike Cowan of Morrilton, Jo-Ellyn Mayfield of Conway; step-grandchildren, Stacy Pate (Shawn) of Perryville, Jason Cowan (Dalaina) of St. Vincent; step-great-grandchildren, Madison Cowan, Parker and Paisley of St. Vincent, and Ava and Brady Pate of Perryville; sister, Betty Hale of Lord's School House Community. Graveside services with Military and Masonic rites will be 2 p.m., Friday, April 29, at Old Salem Cemetery with Bro. James Mullins officiating.
