Tenye Serio Mizell

Tenye "Ms. Pete" Serio Mizell, 85, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at her home. She was born November 11, 1925, in Camden to Sam Serio Sr. and Christine Kirkimier Serio. Mrs. Mizell was reared and educated in Fair View High School, where she graduated in 1944. She had worked for 30 years at Wal-Mart before retiring as a door greeter. Mrs. Mizell was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herchel Mizell, Jr.; her parents; a brother, Sam Serio, Jr. and a sister, Mary Frances Wentz. Survivors include a son, Michael Mizell of Pine Bluff; a daughter, Dorothy (James) Sybert of Pine Bluff; three grandchildren, Tabatha Mizell Owens, Chris Mizell and Randy Sybert all of Benton; great-granddaughters, Karli Michelle Owens of Benton, Brianna Kay Sybert of Pine Bluff and a brother, Anthony Serio of Dyersburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends Friday, 6 to 8 p.m., at Robinson's. Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Frank Matchett officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
