Annie Vivian Barentine, age 91, of Mabelvale, Arkansas, was born August 3, 1919 and she died July 31, 2011. She was an avid hardworking outdoors lady, having been a champion strawberry picker with her brother in years past. Annie was a tremendous gardener, and had a green thumb for beautiful flowers, which she shared so graciously with others. She was often called "Frog" as a nickname. Annie recently held the title of Champion for Bingo and Domino at Southern Trace in Bryant. She was an amazing storyteller, remembering even the finest of details. Annie is survived by sons, Darrell (Vickie) Roberts, Tommy (Joyce) Roberts, and Chuck Barentine; daughter, Cecile Shuptrine; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Roberts; twelve grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and brother, Raymond Burrows. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Seaton and Katie Mae Burrows; two husbands, Charles Barentine and Herman Roberts; three sons, Melvin, Johnny Mack and Jerry Roberts; granddaughter, Lisa Griffis Shockley; brothers, Louin Burrows and L.T. Burrows; sisters, Nadine Cox, Ellen and Johnnie Vera Burrows. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Antioch Cemetery. www.westbrookfuneralhome.com.
