Sarah Jane Gaines

Sarah Jane Gaines, 85., of North Little Rock passed away Monday, August 1, 2011. She was born in Long Beach, Calif. to the late Fred K. and Ann Stephenson Beatty. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 58 years Patrick H. Gaines; a grandson, Lance Patrick Gaines; and brother, Lee Beatty. She was a member of Friendly Chapel Church of the Nazarene. Sarah retired from Sears in the Credit Department. After her retirement she enjoyed gardening and bargain shopping and being with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all that knew her. Sarah is survived by two sons, Gary M. Gaines (Glenda) and Cary L. Gaines (Butch); five grandchildren, Leslie Tullos, Gary Michael Gaines II, Sarah Leann Gaines, Shelly Gross and Denise Rangel; two great-granddaughters, Chloe Marie Staggs and Lacey Brianna Gross; and a host of other family and friends. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the National Cemetery, Little Rock, Ark. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home (501-791-7400), 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd. North Little Rock, Ark. 72116.
