Thelma Louise Banks

Thelma W. Banks of Little Rock, Ark., passed on July 30th at her home. She served as principal of Glenview Elementary School for many years and was active in the National Baptist Convention and her church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. V.M. Banks. Her survivors include: two loving children, Dr. Karia (George) Bunting and Vadrick Banks; four grandchildren, Tristin, Ryan, Kimberly and Venton; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Home going services will be held on Friday, August 5th, 11 a.m., at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 908 Cross St., LR. Interment will follow at Little Rock National Cemetery immediately following the services. Family visitation: Thursday, August 4th, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester St., LR (501) 372-1305.
