Claud Ann Freeman, 67, of Little Rock died on August 2, 2011 at Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock. She was a loving wife, committed mother and a much-loved grandmother. Mrs. Freeman is survived by her husband of 46 years, William Freeman; two daughters, Jennie and husband Robert Sexton of Little Rock and Sarah Freeman of Nashville, Tennessee; three grandchildren: Samuel, Grace Ann, and Andrew Sexton; two sisters, Roxie Lawrence and Sue Hargis of Hope, Arkansas; one brother, William H. Sutton and wife Susan of Little Rock, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tena and Claud Sutton. Ann was a graduate of Hope High School and Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. She taught for a number of years at Woodruff Elementary and Paran Elementary in Little Rock. She was a devout member of Immanuel Baptist Church and an exemplary leader. Her heartfelt ministry included teaching, alongside Bill, the young married couples for 25 years, the Mission Friends organization for 15 years and the Girls Auxiliary for many years. Claud Ann openly shared her love of Jesus Christ. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Immanuel Baptist Church. The graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2011 at Memory Gardens in Hope, Arkansas. The celebration of Claud Ann's life will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church Friday, August 5, at 2 p.m. with Dr. Gary Hollingsworth and Dr. Rex Horne officiating.
