William David Molberg

Mr. William David Molberg, age 80, of Sherwood, Arkansas and formerly of Lebanon, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. William David Molberg was born in Duluth, Minnesota, on March 6, 1931, the son of the late James E. and Eva M. (Cole) Molberg. Mr. Molberg was reared and educated in Duluth, Minnesota. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a medic.  During this time he was awarded silver and bronze stars for his heroic action. Following his service to our country, he lived in Lebanon, Indiana. Mr. Molberg moved to Sherwood, Arkansas in 1984 where he had since resided. He was first married to Ferdonia Lou (Bailey) Molberg in Frankfort, Indiana, on July 1, 1952. Mrs. Molberg passed away in 1983. On October 27, 1984, in Lonoke, Arkansas, he was married to Melba (Beall) Immerman Molberg, and she survives. Bill was a self-employed plastering contractor for most of his working career. He was known throughout central Indiana for his fine craftsmanship and attention to detail. Having a number of interests beyond his children and grandchildren, he enjoyed playing the piano, especially for his church. He also enjoyed singing in a quartet and making home movies. Memberships: Charter member of the Apostolic Bible Church, Frankfort, Indiana. Current member of the First Pentecostal Church, North Little Rock, Arkansas. Survivors: three children: Mr. David D. Molberg and wife, Charlene, Frankfort, Indiana, Mr. Michael B. Molberg and wife, Robin, Frankfort, Indiana, Ms. Kimberly L. Golde, Cabot, Arkansas; one brother: Mr. Robert Molberg, Redwing, Minnesota; five sisters: Mrs. Helen Moen, Duluth, Minnesota, Mrs. Evelyn Maki, Cicero, New York, Mrs. Dorothy Pollick, Lake Worth, Florida, Mrs. Marian Mahai, Duluth, Minnesota, Mrs. Betty Larson, Redwing, Minnesota; eight grandchildren: Andrea Gabe, Ashley Travis and husband, Willie, Tiffney Jordan, Tabitha Molberg, Whitney Oberhoulser and husband, Tobin Hanna Castillo and husband, Kirk, Morgan Golde, Lucas Golde; three great-grandchildren: Drew Gabe, Kaitlyn Gabe, Laeton Castillo. Deceased: a brother, George Molberg, and a sister, Audrey Hanna, are deceased. Officiating: Pastor Phillip Jordan. Funeral Services are to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2011, at Myers Chapel of Memories in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana, from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2011.
