Zudie Mae Fowler, 97, of Benton passed away on Tuesday, August 9th, 2011. She was born on July 10, 1914 to the late Joseph A. and Cora (Mooney) Bailey in Saline County, Arkansas. A member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, she was active in the Women's Bible Class. Zudie was very creative and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, quilting and traveling. She liked the outdoors and was known for her gardening expertise and her love of fishing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther; her son Alfred; her parents and nine of her siblings. Zudie leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Carolyn (Jerry) Goshien; her sisters Louise Cole and Betty Jo (Doc) Bost; her grandchildren Fred (Gwen) Fowler, Scott (Judi) Fowler, Kim (Bobby) Adams, Angie (Richard) Fulcher and Brad (Ann) Goshien; her seven great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be on Friday, August 12th, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home with Brother Jeff Penn officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 11th, 2011 at Forest Hills, 10200 Hwy. 5 North, Alexander, Ark. 72002 (501) 455-1067.
