Charlie Whitfield

Charlie Whitfield, 104, of Bismarck, Arkansas, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011. He was born in Bismarck, Arkansas to the late Mac and Mary (Williams) Whitfield. Charlie was a member of DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church and was a farmer. Charlie is preceded in death by his son, Pete Whitfield and wives Grace Whitfield and Alma Whitfield. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Sally Whitfield; step-daughter, Inez Dingler (L.B.); grandchildren, Rodney Whitfield (Karen), Gary Whitfield (Paula), Jill Cooper (Russ); great-grandchildren, Amanda Clements, Ashley Cole, Brandy Harp, Natalie Brown, Corey Whitley, Tonya Whitley, Tyler Whitfield, Brandt Cooper and Whit Cooper; eight great-great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-great-grandchildren. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Daniel Rowe. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011 at DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in DeRoche Cemetery. Pallbearers include Tyler Whitfield, Brandt Cooper, Whit Cooper, Corey Whitley, Richard Harp, Josh Brown, Brian Clements and Aaron Cole. Honorary pallbearers include the DeRoche Sunday School Class.
