Alma Lucille Williams

ALMA LUCILLE WILLIAMS died on Aug. 13, 2011, at age 94. She was born on April 23, 1917, in Belfast, Ark., the third child of George & Blanche Hicks. She married Huel N.D. Williams on April 6, 1940, and they were married 55 years until his death in 1995. She was preceded in death by her brother Henry "Doc" Hicks and sisters Evelyn Hicks and Kathleen Nickell. Lucille is survived by her son, Bruce Williams and wife Kay of Marion; daughter, Georgia Nash and husband John (Chuck) Nash of Little Rock; grandchildren Matthew Williams, Brooke Dollar and husband Chris, Brian Buckley and wife Renee, and Adam Nash; and one great grandchild, Mady Williams. She is also survived by brothers, Paul and Ben Hicks. Lucille was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family unconditionally. She was a great cook and made the best apple pies and egg custard pies ever! She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and Pastor Ed Simpson will conduct her funeral at Roller-Chenal Chapel on Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 1 p.m., with interment following at Pinecrest Cemetery next to her husband.
