Mildred Irene Jones

Mildred Irene Jones, a resident of Anderson, Mo., was born Feb. 6, 1937, in Seligman, Mo., a daughter of Paul Richard Arnold and Winnie Helen (King) Johnson. She departed this life Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, in her home in Anderson, at the age of 74 years. Mildred worked at Tyson Foods for about 26 years until she retired. She loved to crochet. She was especially good at gardening and cooking. Later in life, she enjoyed experiencing the outdoors in a new, vibrant way. She loved to ride on an ATV and ride horses. Mildred is survived by six daughters, Bonnie and husband Robert Veach of Berryville, Ark., Donna Burk of Berryville, Ark., Viola and husband Ron Howard of Rogers, Ark., Hope and husband Arlis Curtis of Anderson, Mo., Linda and husband Carlton Johnson of Avoca, Ark., and Michelle Cruz of Fla.; two sons, Jimmy Jones and wife Joi of Berryville, Ark., and Fred Jones of Van Buren, Ark.; four brothers, Ray Arnold of Gentry, Ark., Rick Arnold of Bella Vista, Ark., Chuck Arnold of Eureka Springs, Ark., and Jimmy Arnold of Pea Ridge, Ark.; two sisters, Goldie London and Gracie Towle both of Pea Ridge, Ark.; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Arnold and Winnie Johnson and one sister, Mary Helen (Arnold) White; two sons, Gary David & Larry Dale Jones; two daughters, Helen Lavine Jones and Retha Jones Waterman. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Wayne Writer officiating. Interment will follow in the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc.
