Joe Frank Chambers Jr.

Joe Frank Chambers Jr., 70, of DeWitt died Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Dewitt City Hospital in DeWitt. Born July 24, 1941 in Stuttgart, Arkansas he was the son of the late Joe Frank Chambers Sr. and Frances Rasco Chambers. Joe accepted Christ as his Lord and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in DeWitt. Joe attended school in the DeWitt Public School System and graduated in 1959 and attended the Arkansas Teachers College (Now University of Central Arkansas (U.C.A). Joe was employed by the Arkla Gas Company (Now Centerpoint Entergy). Joe is survived by his children; (three) sons; Joe F. Chambers and his wife, Melinda of St. Charles, Missouri, Jason T. Chambers of DeWitt, Arkansas and Jim Chambers and his wife, Shannon of Clinton, Michigan; (two) daughters, Mary Chambers of Yesilati, Michigan and Tracy Halberstat and her husband, Mark of Brooklyn, Michigan; (one) sister, Mary Frances Kolb of Little Rock, Arkansas; (seven) grandchildren, Kevin Dillion, Jacob Chambers, Isabelle Chambers, Addison Chambers, Benjamin Chambers, Tony Halberstat and Daniel Halberstat and a host of other relatives and friends to cherish his memory. Graveside services will be Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the DeWitt City Cemetery in DeWitt, Arkansas with Brother David Dalton officiating, by McKinzie Funeral Home of DeWitt. Visitation was held Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Funeral Home from 1-6 p.m.
