Michael Anthony Price

Michael Price 58, of Little Rock, Ark., departed this life on August 13, 2011. He was born on November 3, 1952 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of Henry and Marie Price. He was preceded in death my one brother, Henry L. Price. He's survived by his parents; and siblings, Gregory (Charlene), Troy and Josilen; nephews, Christopher and Evan Price; nieces, Mia, Temple and Erin Price; and great-nephew, Larry Moore Jr. The family is especially grateful for the supportive friendship shown to Mike by Wanda Jones. After graduating from Little Rock Central High School in 1971, Michael earned an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, and a law degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri. He served for many years as district counsel for the Small Business Administration, and later devoted his energy and brilliant mind to the cause of ordinary people faced with the loss of homes or financial stability, in his work as a community advisor for Arkansas Community Organization. He was a decent and humble man who will be missed by friends, family and the people he helped. A celebration of his life will be Saturday, August 20, 2011, 11 a.m., at Rufus K. Young Christian Church, 2020 Main Street, Little Rock, Ark. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery.
