William Douglas Feaster, 92 of Little Rock died on August 16, 2011 in Warren Arkansas. He was born May 21, 1919 in Scott, Mississippi to the late John Sullivan Feaster and Ethel Ross Feaster. He was a member of Allison Memorial Presbyterian Church in Little Rock where he served as an Elder, property manager, and other positions as needed. He served in the military during World War II and the Korean War. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, formerly AM&N College where he received a B.S. in Agriculture Education. He was a lifelong member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He was also a member of the Appomattox Club and the Masonic Temple Lodge. For many years he taught secondary education in Augusta, Arkansas, Dermott, Arkansas, and Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He later went on to work for the Soil Conservation Agency. He retired in 1982 after 43 years of service in education and administration. Mr. Feaster is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Travestine Feaster Alexander. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 58 years, La Verne Williams Feaster, a son, Sam Hart (Marie), daughter Jennifer Bryant, four grandchildren, five brothers, Herman (Theresa), John (Lillian), James (Shirley), Herbert (Geraldine), and Thomas (Glenda); two sisters, Pauline Wallace (J.T.), and Lillie Green (D.C.). Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Allison Memorial Presbyterian Church, 922 Wright Ave., Little Rock, Ark.
