Ruby Bretherick Crowder Reed

Ruby Bretherick Crowder Reed, 89, of Marion, Ark., passed away Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at Crittenden Regional Hospital in West Memphis, Ark. She was a member of Marion First United Methodist Church; a member of the Garden Club and had retired from being the Deputy Assessor for the Crittenden County Assessor's Office and was retired from Southland Greyhound Park. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Crowder. She is survived by her husband, Collins "Jim" Reed of Marion, Ark.; three sons, Keith Crowder of Pocahontas, Ark., Mark Crowder of Cabot, Ark., and Kent Crowder of Batesville, Ark.; her sister, Martha Louise Carlisle of Benton, Ark.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. The visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Ark., from 6 to 8 p.m. The service will be Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at Marion First United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with interment to follow in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Ark.
