Willie Andrew Mahoney

Willie "Bill" Andrew Mahoney of Cabot entered into rest at the age of 91 years and eight months, Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011. He was born Dec. 23, 1919, in Cabot to the late George Robert and Harriet Williford Mahoney. Bill was a loving and devoted husband and father. He lived and raised his family in Cabot and was a lifelong member of Russell Chapel Church of the Nazarene. Preceding him in death was his wife of 63 years Nina Mary Staggs Mahoney, an infant daughter, Dovie Mae; three sisters, Bertha Russell, Hattie Ruth Mahoney and Ellen Graham, four brothers; Rubin, Dennis, Lewis and Walter Mahoney and two grandchildren; Terry and Pamela Mahoney. Survivors include two sons; Bobby (Jamie) Mahoney and Tommy (Lisa) Mahoney, five daughters; Patsy (Dub) Taylor, Geneva (William) Bynum, Irene (James) White, Peggy (Steve) Zumalt and Betty (Don) Rowe, one sister, Pauline (Leon) Southerland as well as 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at Russell Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Cabot with Pastor Greg Armstrong and Brother Steve Zumalt officiating with interment to follow at King Cemetery.
