Paul Julian Smith

Paul Julian Smith, 80, of Auburndale, Fla., formerly of Richmond, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home on August 20, 2011. He was preceded in death by parents, Marvin and Anna Smith of Bradford, Arkansas, brother, Festus Smith, and his wife of 48 years, Ann Rutherford Smith. Left to cherish his memory are wife, Sharon Lyons Smith, daughters, Becky Smith and Cindy Osborne, brothers, Cal Smith of Bradford and Robert Smith of Searcy, Arkansas, and three granddaughters. Paul proudly served his country in the Korean War aboard the USS Juneau, CLAA-119. Paul never met a stranger. His big laugh and twinkling blue eyes will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Friday, August 26th at Bliley's, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., Richmond, Virginia.
