Ada Bell Ramsey

Ada Bell McKee Ramsey, 92 years of age, died Aug. 26, 2011, at Indian Rock Village at Fairfield Bay, Ark. She was born at Mozart, Ark., on July 18, 1919, to Pearlie Lee and Rankin McKee. This union produced eleven children, two of whom died at birth. Ada was preceded in death by her husband Howard Ramsey in 1979, infant daughter Buple, and daughter Wanda Lou Ramsey Buffington; fours sisters: Nora Treat, Alta Moreland, Ida Martin, and Jean Walker; three brothers: Otto McKee, Earnest Mckee, and Roy McKee and a half-brother Willis Branscum also preceded her death. Ada was married to Howard Raymond Ramsey on Aug. 20, 1938. To this union was born three daughters: Buple, Wendell Lea, and Wanda Lou. She is survived by a sister, Mae McKee Ramsey of Kahoka, Mo.; daughter Wendell Lea Ramsey Murray and husband Fred Murray of Fox, Ark.; grandsons Marlon Murray of Sherwood, Ark., Eric Murray of Austin, Ark., Rance Buffington of Little Rock; granddaughter Jamie Buffington Salmon of Richmond, Va.; six great grandchildren: Jeremy, Jeffery, Erica, Emery, and Evan Murray; and Rufus Buffington, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends. Visitation and funeral will be at Bethlehem General Baptist Church, Fox, Ark., on Monday Aug. 29, 2011, with visitation starting at 12:30 p.m. and funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Ramsey Cemetery at Timbo, Ark.
