Max Kane

MAX KANE, 87, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away at his home on Aug. 26, 2011. He was born May 21, 1924, in Elkins to his parents, Hugh Kane and Louise Baxter Kane. Max was a WWII, Korea, and Vietnam veteran serving 25 years in the United States Army. Max retired from the Army as a Lt. Colonel in 1969 and began an insurance career with Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield. He would later serve as Vice President for Life of Arkansas and President of BCS Life Insurance Company in Dallas, Texas. Max is survived by his wife Patricia; three children, Susan Patton, Kimberly Farley, and Tom Kane; and one sister Dorothy Morsani. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The visitation will be Monday Aug. 29, 9 to 10 a.m., at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home 501-224-8300 with the service following at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The interment will be held at 2 p.m. at Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.
