Carlyn (Podgy) Langston Wilbourn

Carlyn (Podgy) Langston Wilbourn 84 of Little Rock, Ark., passed away Sunday, August 28th, 2011 She was born Nov. 6, 1926 in Lincoln, Ark. to Troy and Clara Clark. She was a graduate of Fayetteville High School and received her undergraduate and Master of Business from The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She was a hostess on the G.M.N rail line, taught business administration at U of A ,was the head of the advertising at Blass dept. store, taught business at Little Rock Central High School and was a professor at UALR. She was a past president of the Arkansas Medical Society Auxiliary, past president of CARTI auxiliary and a past president and member of Delphi. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Langston M.D. and her son, Marc Langston. She is survived by her husband, Sanford Wilbourn, daughters, Ann Cooper Little Rock, Sandy Watson (Sam) Maumelle, Laurie Brookes (John) Maumelle, Hodie Langston (Inez) Springdale Ark.; step-sons, Sandy Wilbourn (Joanne), Palo Alto, Calif. and Chris Wilbourn, Little Rock; daughter-in-law, Kelle Langston Springdale, Ark., Crystal Langston, Fayetteville, Ark. and Annie Langston, Fayetteville, Ark. She also has 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8 p.m., Wednesday August 31, 2011 at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 W. Markham St., Little Rock. In lieu of flowers please give to your favorite charity. The funeral will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 1, 2011 at St. Mark Episcopal Church, 1000 N. Mississippi, Little Rock, Ark.
