Joe Taylor

Joe Taylor, age 92, of Little Rock, Arkansas died Monday, August 29, 2011. He was born on March 7, 1919 in Little Rock, Arkansas to his late parents Joe Taylor and Mittie Taylor Oglesby. Joe was a graduate of Central High School in Little Rock, was an accountant for Voss-Hutton in Little Rock for many years until his retirement and was a member of the Little Rock First Church of the Nazarene. In addition, Joe loved softball and was inducted into the Arkansas Softball Hall of Fame in 2004. Survivors include his granddaughter, Melissa Crosby (Kevin) of Hensley, Ark. and his grandson Jeff Taylor of Mabelvale, Ark. He is also survived by his one great-granddaughter, Hannah Crosby of Hensley, Ark. He is preceded in death by his wife Ernestine Taylor and one son Larry J. Taylor. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas (501) 661-9111 with the Reverends Dr. Dan Casey and Dr. Jim Daniel officiating.
