Gerald Jones

Gerald Jones, 57, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011. He was a member of the Waldron Road Church of Christ in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He spent the last 30 plus years as the Service Manager for Fitzhugh Communications, Muzak Corporation. Gerald was an avid guitarist, song writer, loved cooking, enjoyed the outdoors, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. Gerald shared his life and the love for life with generosity and loyalty as is evident by his many family and friends that rallied around him. Gerald is survived by his son, Cody Jones of Chicago, Illinois; mother, Faye Jones of Fort Smith, Ark.; brother, Lauren Jones and wife Nancy of Broken Arrow, Okla.; sister, Sharon Khilling and husband John of Mansfield, Ark; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Gerald was preceded in death by his daughter, Paige Jones, and his father Thurman (Sam) Jones. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Martin Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron, Arkansas. Viewing will be Friday, December 9, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
