H.L. Womack

H.L. Womack, 89, of Dermott, Ark. passed away Tuesday December 13, 2011 at Dermott City Nursing Home. Mr. Womack was a member of Dermott Baptist Church and worked for AP&L for 37 1/2 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and Korea Wars. He also loved to fish. He was born to the late J.W. and Myrtle Sawyer Womack on November 10, 1922 in Eudora, Ark. Mr. Womack is survived by his wife Louise Womack of Dermott, two daughters; Vivian Prescott and son-in-law Randy Prescott of Monticello, Kay Hudman of Stevens Ark., step-daughter; Joan Sellers of San Pablo, Calif., two grandsons; Drew Prescott and wife Megan of Monticello and Sam Prescott of Monticello. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday December 15, 2011at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Chapel with Rev. Fred Gay officiating. Burial will follow in Dermott Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday December 14, 2011 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, Ark. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donation be made to Dermott City Nursing Home Auxiliary, Bobbette Trobridge, 221 Gibson Circle Drive, Dermott, Ark. 71638.
