John Thomas Rogers, 70, died due to respiratory failure December 19, 2011, at Baptist Hospital in LR. He was born December 4, 1941, in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of Johnny O Rogers and Coreen Rogers Smith. Tom graduated from Oak Park & River Forest High School in Oak Park, Ill. and attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He married the love of his life, Martha "Ellen" Loving in 1964. He was an avid Razorback fan and supporter of the Razorback Foundation, earned an award from Little Rock Parks for volunteer contributions, and loved to fish and play golf. Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Ellen; his two daughters Kelly Griffey and her husband Ken of Little Rock, Kim Rogers of Charleston, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Lauren and Jackson; aunt, uncle, cousins and a multitude of friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, aunts, uncles and his beloved pig "Razor." Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21st at Griffin-Leggett on 12th Street in Little Rock. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 22nd, at Griffin-Leggett.
