Connie Allen Wilson was born Feb. 23, 1921, in Southern Grant County's Shiloh Community, the daughter of Richard and Alice May "Lizzie" Bratton Allen. She passed away Christmas morning at the age of 90 in a Little Rock hospital. Connie joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church while a young lady. She once worked as a nursing assistant to Dr. Cole in Sheridan, then at the assembly line at the Pine Bluff Arsenal during World War II. In 1948 Connie married Marvin (Boe) Wilson of the Shiloh Community, who was an early lineman and later a district manager of Allied Telephone Company based in Glenwood. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Boe Wilson; sister, Wilma Ross of Red Bluff, Calif.; brothers, Ivan, Doyle, Jewell, and Boyce Allen of Grant County. Survivors include: Sister, Hazel Wilson of Malvern; daughter, Sharon Holliman of Palestine, Texas; son, Roy Lynn Wilson of Sheridan; grandchildren, Tracy Wilson of Little Rock, Leah Brakefield of Russellville, and Will Brakefield of Mt. Ida; great-grandchildren, Zeke Graham of Russellville, Laurel Wilson of Little Rock, and Natalee and Emilee Brakefield of Mt. Ida; niece, Jean Duck of Sheridan; nephews, James Ross of Oregon, Harold Ross of California, Danny, Dennis, and Gary Allen of Grant County. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan. Services will follow at 2 p.m. led by Rev. James Bradshaw and Rev.
