Lula "Fay" Franklin, age 78, of Benton, passed away Friday, Dec. 31, 2010 at her home. She was born in Rison, Ark. on April 12, 1932 to the late Floyd and Earchie Hutcheson. She was retired from the AHC as a cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her son, Glenn Franklin and wife, Pat of Benton; two daughters, Janie Matsantonis and husband, John of St. Louis, Mo. and Janelle Shepard and husband, Jimmy of Mountain Home, Ark.; two brothers, Odell Hutcheson and Hershel Hutcheson, both of Traskwood; sister, Mildred "Bug" Lunsford of Star City, Ark.; grandchildren, George Matsantonis and wife, Stephanie of Columbia, Ill., Brad Franklin and wife, Katie of Little Rock, Pattie Karn and husband, Brad of St. Louis, and Rebeka Townsend and husband, Jonathan of St. Louis, and great-grandchildren, Emily Franklin, Emma Townsend, Aubrey Townsend, Allison Bonde, Evan Matsantonis, Elijah Karn, and Athena Karn. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047) with Rev. Johnny Frank Carter and Rev. Pete Kiefaber officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander. Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Lunsford, Joe Lunsford, Brad Karn, Jonathan Townsend, Larry Drogsvold, and Morgan Minnie.
