ANTHONY "TONY" MARLIN THOMPSON, 64, of Sherwood, Ark., passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011. He was born in Idabel, Okla., to the late Marlin and Estel Bachelor Thompson. Tony was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in North Little Rock and was a true hero to all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Carol Morris Thompson; his daughter, Kelly Cook of Los Angeles, Calif.; his son, Kyle Thompson and wife Kelly of Malvern; his daughter, Kaci Thompson and daughter-in-law Tressa Rupert of Sherwood; daughter, Kari Thompson-Stricklin and husband Nathan of Jacksonville; six grandchildren, Brittanie Stricklin, Nathan Stricklin Jr., Daniel Thompson, Ethan Thompson, Sierra Clenney, and Autumn Clenney; his sister, Judy Coffman, and a host of family and friends. Funeral service will be Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, at 10 a.m., at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark., 72116 (501-791-7400). Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Maple Springs Cemetery at Oil Trough, Ark.
