Larry Steven Benson

Larry Steven Benson, 48, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on December 29, 2010. He was born on August 23, 1962 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Ernest & Betty Benson. He loved camping, fishing and spending time with all his children, grandchildren, family and close friends. Larry is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Benson and two sisters: Barbara Thomas and Margaret Schultz. He is survived by his ex-wife Donna Benson; four children: Jessica (Timothy) Smith of El Paso, Ark., Amanda (Samuel) McCool of Jacksonville, Ark, Matilda Benson of Lexington, Tenn. and Shawn Ward of El Paso, Ark; one brother & best friend, Lonnie Benson of North Little Rock, Ark; two sisters: Terri (Todd) Moody of Scott, Ark and Peggy (J.J.) Jordan of Jacksonville, Ark; seven grandchildren: Aleecia, Bo, Emily, Breanna, Alaina, Keely & Samuel (Froak); his mother Betty Benson; special Aunt Ann Hayes of Dallas, Texas. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock, Ark 72117 (501) 835-3515.
