Max Stewart Jr.

Max Stewart Jr., 87, of Osceola entered into rest on Sunday, January 9, 2011. Born September 13, 1923, to the late William Max Stewart, Sr. and Rosa Stewart, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Osceola where he was a lifelong deacon. He was a retired market manager for Big Star and a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frankie Stewart; two sons, Larry Max Stewart, and wife Sharon, of Farmerville, LA, Kenneth Wayne Stewart, and wife Billie of Osceola; one daughter, Diana Stewart of Dyersburg, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Dawn Stewart, Penny Ezell, Dr. Brad Stewart and Ken Stewart Jr.; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Tommie Lou Barber of Osceola. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, W.B. Stewart and James Harvey Stewart. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Osceola with services following at 2 p.m. In Memory of Mr. Stewart, memorials may be sent to the First Baptist Church in Osceola or Legacy Hospice.
