Robert M. Starks Sr.

Robert M. Starks, Sr. passed away January 8, 2011. He was born December 15, 1933 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Hafer and Jewell Starks who both preceded him in death, as well as his sister Sue. Bob served in the US Air Force and was a Veteran of the Korean War. After his military service he worked for Western Electric and Easter Seals. Bob loved traveling, telling jokes and telling stories about his many adventures playing fast-pitch softball. He was dearly loved by his family and friends. Surviving him are his wife of 58 years, Billie Starks, daughter Susan Starks, daughter, Dianne (Don) Collom, son, Robert Jr. (Tammy) Starks, son, Richard (Carla) Starks, grandson, Sam Collom, granddaughter, Becca Collom and grandson, Chris Starks. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Brad Baltz and his staff for the great comfort provided by their care. A memorial gathering to celebrate Bob's life will be held at the Starks' home Saturday, January 15th at 1 p.m. Instead of flowers, please make memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
