Hazel Edith Braswell, age 95, of Crossett, Ark. passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Pinewood Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on October 27, 1915 in Crossett, Ark. to her parents, William Curtis and Eva Edith Hughen Watson. Mrs. Braswell was an avid outdoors woman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and riding her horse, Snicker. She loved her dog, Cosmo, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Braswell was dedicated to her church, Magnolia Baptist Church, having worked all her life teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir and active in Women's Missionary Union. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jesse Braswell; a son, Glen Allen Braswell; three brothers and wives, Cecil Watson (Joy), Allen Watson (Louise), Travis Watson (Allene); three sisters and husbands, Rosalie Carter (Urban), Jessie McKelvy and Louise Roberts (Willard). Survivors include one sister, Jean Lovelace of Pine Bluff, Ark.; her faithful guardians, Janice and Wayne Moffatt of Crossett, Ark.; her wonderful caregivers, Leone Wilcox, Claudine Pamplin, Shirley Forrest, Debbie Sharp and Chris Lamb and a host of other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Magnolia Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Griffith and Bro. Scott Sasser officiating. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. (www.jonesservice.com) Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., Thursday at the church.
