Claudia E. Collier

Claudia E. Collier, age 83, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at Arkansas Hospice. She has donated her body to the Genesis Donor Program in Memphis for medical research. She was born on February 17, 1927, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to her parents, Henry and Leona Daniels. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who lived her life for her family. Claudia was a member of First Baptist Church Little Rock. Claudia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Noel (Buddy) Collier; and her sister, Esther Gassaway of Pine Bluff.  Survivors include her daughters, Judy Phillips and Denise Rowland (John) of Little Rock; granddaughters, Amber Gibbons (Reed) of Little Rock, Kimberly George (Joe) of Fayetteville and Erin Rowland of Little Rock; great-grandchildren Collier and Marley Gibbons of Little Rock; two sisters, Mary Jo Taylor of North Little Rock and Myrtle Chandler of Fayetteville, Ark., and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, at First Baptist Church, 62 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock. As an alternative to flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 5600 West 12 Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72204.
