Virginia Clark

Virginia Clark, age 85, of Jonesboro, Arkansas previously of Cherokee Village, Arkansas. She died January 11, 2011 at St. Bernard Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born February 23, 1925 at Vernon County, Wisconsin to Frank and Anna Novy. She was a member of the St. Michaels Catholic Church, a founding member of the "Cherokee Village Ladies Golf Association", a member of the Spring River Pen Women, and an author of seven Historical Novels under the pen name of Jina Beth Clark. She married Robert Clark, an Air Force Officer in 1960. She partnered with him in his work as Deacon Bob Clark of St. Michaels Catholic Church until his death. Also Preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Virgil Novy and Leonard Novy, four sisters, Mayme Robinson, Thelma Weyher, Norma Benish and Anna Blakely. Survivors include sons Montgomery Michael and Sue Clark of Sanchse, Texas and Robert "Bobby" Clark Jr. of Jonesboro, Arkansas, granddaughters, Amy Horton, Kristin Spencer, Niki Clark and grandson, Matthew Clark, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. A Rosary Service will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the St. Michaels Catholic Church in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. A Funeral Service will immediately follow the Rosary Service at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Tom Marks officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Highland, Arkansas. All arrangement by Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland, Arkansas.
