Robert B. Mitchell, 75, of Hot Springs, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011. Born March 17, 1935 in Ashville, Ala. to Roy Harris and Mary Elizabeth Ramsey Mitchell, he was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church, where he served as elder, deacon and treasurer. He worked at Hot Springs Rehabilitation Center, retiring after 35 years; served on United Way, Senior Community Aides Project and State Employees Insurance committee. He was a member of Sumpter Lodge No. 419; Grand High Priest of Royal and Select Masters of Arkansas and Grand Master of the Grand Council of Arkansas. He was predeceased by his parents; son, David Wayne Mitchell; brother, William Roy Mitchell; and brother-in-law, Charles Daniel Moore. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Moore Mitchell; son, Robert Brian Mitchell; two daughters-in-law, Wanda Mitchell (Randy) Johnson and Nita Ridgway Mitchell; three grandchildren, Atasha Ann Mitchell, Robert Curtis (Courtney) Mitchell and Amy Marie Mitchell; four great-grandchildren, Kendrick David Mitchell, Victoria Louise Davis, Victor Lamout Davis and Peyton Jewell Clair Mitchell; three sisters-in-law, Margaret (Marge) Mitchell, Faye Elizabeth Moore and Mary Linda Brown; one brother-in-law, Dennis Wayne Brown; various nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Reverend Jeff Cranton officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
